The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at California Polytechnic University, Humboldt, is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education http://www.ccneaccreditation.org
This program is approved for the Public Health Nursing Certificate by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
Humboldt’s RN-BSN program expands on clinical nursing skills to provide students with a larger lens to view the social determinants of health in communities where their patients live, work, and play. Registered nurses bring lived experience working in health care and insight into the needs of our community.
The BSN program enhances this training and experience to provide nurses with a systems perspective on improving health care for all. Nurses will develop the leadership and communications skills needed to be interdisciplinary partners in delivering higher-quality care at a lower cost, in a way that increases access and reduces burnout among the health care workforce.
