Cal Poly Humboldt, College of the Redwoods, and healthcare industry leaders are working to bring a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nursing (BSN) starting Fall 2020.
The program, which will be taught using a flexible blend of online and in-person courses, will provide a seamless academic progression from an associate’s degree to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) to accelerate academic and career advancement for rural nurses. This program will also provide an opportunity for already working licensed Registered Nurses to further their education without leaving the area or quitting their jobs.
The program’s curriculum is designed specifically for the North Coast, focusing on the needs of rural and tribal communities and stressing culturally appropriate methods and approaches.
Student Experience
A customizable community-focused program focused on…
Rural Issues | Cultural Humility | Leadership | Behavioral Health
Initially, 25 students will be able to participate in each cohort, and they will complete their degrees over two years (for the part time cohort) and one year for those enrolled full time.
