Current RNs and new RN graduates, or those graduating by Spring 2025, can apply for the Fall 2025 session starting on October 1, 2024 for the part-time cohort.

Program Requirements
Note, that the following requirements are needed to qualify for RN to BSN program:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Pass NCLEX exam
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 in all courses
In addition, in order to be eligible for the RN to BSN program, you will need to have successfully completed the following 8-Core Courses:
- Oral Communication (A1)
- Written Communication (A2)
- Critical Thinking (A3)
- Chemistry: General, inorganic, organic, or integrated (with associated lab if required at the institution where the course was taken) (B1, B3)
- Human Anatomy (with required lab) (B2, B3)
- Human Physiology (with required lab) (B2, B3)
- Microbiology (with required lab) (B2, B3)
- Statistics (B4)

Nursing Application Checklist
When you’re ready to complete your application on Cal State Apply, be sure you have these items on hand:
- Unofficial transcripts: You’ll be asked to enter all the courses you’ve completed on your CSU application; those that are currently in progress; and any you plan to take. Transcripts will be requested by campuses as needed.
- Your Social Security number, if you have one.
- Your citizenship status
- A method of payment: You can pay the application fee by credit card. Fee waiver available for eligible applicants.
- Annual income: Your parents’ if you are a dependent; your income if you are independent.
- CCCID and Campus ID Optional: every California Community College student is assigned a CCCID and a campus-specific ID number. These numbers should be printed on your transcript.
- RN License number
