The mandatory weekend intensives are designed as community-building events and are critical components to meeting our program's outcomes. During the intensives, students participate in experiential learning through robust dialogue about complex issues, working with their peers on course-related presentations, attending live workshops facilitated by experts in the field, and utilizing simulation to promote empathy among diverse populations. The intensives are held all day Friday and Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm twice a semester and attendance is required.

We recommend that you work with your current or future employers to ensure that you can attend the required intensive class sessions. If you need additional support from the directors, please let us know as we can provide you with an official letter to support your intensive class attendance.
