Participation in two weekend intensives each semester is mandatory. The two day intensives are designed as community-building events and are critical components to meeting our program's outcomes. During the intensives, students participate in experiential learning through robust dialogue about complex issues, working with their peers on course-related presentations, attending live workshops facilitated by experts in the field, and utilizing simulation to promote empathy among diverse populations.

The intensives are held all day Friday and Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm twice a semester and attendance is required to pass the course.
